Los Ojos

Este par de galaxias, conocidas juntas como “Los Ojos”, se encuentran en el cúmulo de galaxias de Virgo. Sus nombres oficiales son NGC 4435 y NGC 4438. Originalmente eran espirales, pero sus formas han sido severamente distorsionadas por las interacciones entre ellas y con otras galaxias vecinas. NGC 4438 es la más grande de las dos.

The Eyes
52 million light-years

This pair of galaxies, known together as “The Eyes”, is found in the Virgo cluster of galaxies. Their official names are NGC 4435 and NGC 4438. They were originally spirals, but their shapes have been severely disturbed by interactions between each other as well as various neighbouring galaxies. NGC 4438 is the larger of the two.
