Este mosaico es un mapa de colores que muestra la parte sur de la famosa nebulosa Norteamericana y la nebulosa del Pelícano. Entre estas dos nebulosas hay una área como un “golfo” que es oscuro por el polvo oscuro y las nubes de gas.

The Gulf Mosaic
1.800 light-years

This mosaic mapped in colour shows the southern part of the famous North America Nebula and the Pelican Nebula. In between these two nebulae lies the “gulf” area which is obscured by dark dust and gas clouds.
