Esta imagen muestra una vista de alta resolución de la superficie solar visible, la llamada fotosfera (esfera de luz), revelando dos manchas solares que tiene forma de flores. Las manchas solares en realidad son muy brillantes pero aparecen oscuras cuando se comparan con sus alrededores porque tienen una temperatura más baja.

Sunspots

This image shows a high-resolution view of the visible solar surface, the so-called photosphere (sphere of light), disclosing two magnificent flower-shaped sunspots. Sunspots are actually very bright but appear dark compared to their surroundings because of their lower temperature.
