Cuando miramos fuera de la parte visible del espectro se revela la atmósfera turbulenta del Sol. Luz ultravioleta extrema es emitida por átomos calentados a temperaturas increíbles de uno a dos millones de grados y se le asigna colores artificiales para ayudarnos a ver las enormes áreas activas que expulsan energía debido a los campos magnéticos del Sol.

The turbulent atmosphere of the Sun is revealed when we look outside the visible part of the spectrum. Extreme ultraviolet light is given off by atoms heated to incredible temperatures - between one and two million degrees - and are given artificial colour to help us see the huge active areas spouting energy driven by the Sun’s magnetic fields.
